Country music legend and trailblazer Charley Pride's 'The Best of Charley Pride Volume II' is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Debuted in 1972 on Billboard magazine's country albums chart, it spent 16 weeks at the No. 1 spot and was Pride’s best-selling album during his career. Included on the album are hits like "Kiss An Angel Good Mornin'", "Is Anybody Goin' to San Antone," "I'd Rather Love You," "I'm Just Me" and more fan favorites. In line with Black History Month, the celebration of this anniversary reminds us how Pride transcended racial barriers within the country music community and beyond.

Hargus ‘Pig’ Robbins, Country Hall of Famer who played piano on Patsy Cline, George Jones and Dolly Parton classics, dies at 84
Hargus “Pig” Robbins, one of country music’s most prolific session piano players died on Sunday in Franklin, Tenn. He was 84.
His death, at the Williamson Medical Center, just outside Nashville, was confirmed by his son, David. The cause has not been identified, he said.
A longtime member of Nashville’s so-called A-Team of first-call studio musicians, Mr. Robbins appeared on thousands of popular recordings made there between the late 1950s and the mid-2010s.
Country Music Community And Friends Mourn The Loss Of Ralph Emery
Country Music Hall of Fame member Ralph Emery died Jan. 15 at a Nashville hospital. He was 88. Emery was a legendary disc jockey and television host who rose to fame during the late-night hours on Nashville's WSM, where he hosted and allowed many new artists a chance to be heard for the first time. Throughout his career, Emery hosted Pop! Goes The Country, Nashville Now, Ralph Emery Live, Ralph Emery’s Memories, and more. He was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007 and in 2010, he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
