New Dallas Wayne album 'Songs The Jukebox Taught Me' Released on Heart of Texas Records. Singer, songwriter and radio personality Dallas Wayne pays tribute to his classic country music heroes and teachers with a fresh collection of standards that he makes his own: "The seed to record this album was planted while doing my radio show," said Dallas. "When I'm on the air, I find myself saying that somebody oughta cut these great classic songs again."
Now 'somebody' has done just that. And with a fresh sound and pristine production, Dallas Wayne makes this collection of hillbilly standards his own, while still being true to the classic country sound. "After ten albums of mostly original material, I've chosen to honor some of the heroes and teachers who taught me this music," said Dallas. "I'm humbled to have as very special guests on the album some of my personal heroes and friends: Willie Nelson, Jeannie Seely, Darrell and Mona McCall, and Paula Nelson. I hope listeners enjoy the new record as much as we enjoyed making it."
"When I was learning how to sing, play and write country music in the mid-60s and into the 70s, this was the popular music of that time; the era that taught me to love country music," said Dallas.
